Chamomile may be used internally or externally. It is naturally caffeine free, and has been used for years by Western herbalists to soothe and relax and for its effectiveness in combating nervousness and restlessness.

An infusion of chamomile is well known as a herbal rinse for fair hair as it brightens and adds golden highlights. It is also used as mouthwash and a soothing eye compress, face wash and/or toner.
